Learning All Year Round
At Little Crickets Bournemouth, we’re firm believers that there’s no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing! Children at all three of our nurseries get outdoors every day. They explore the six acres around Dean Park, shelter in our cosy Forest School retreat when it’s chilly, and splash in the mud kitchen at Park School. Whatever the season, our little explorers are always ready for action!

With three nurseries across Bournemouth, Little Crickets Bournemouth welcomes children from 3 months to 5 years, giving every child a nurturing, inspiring start.
Each of our settings has its own character: the beautifully converted Cooper Dean Pavilion at Dean Park, our outdoor-led Forest School in a quiet corner of the same grounds, and Park School Nursery at the heart of a thriving school community. All three share the same approach. Working within the Early Years Foundation Stage, our skilled and caring teams follow each child's interests, building curiosity, confidence and independence through Creativity, Discovery, Nature and Play.

A brilliant start, whichever setting you choose Learning at Little Crickets Bournemouth is hands-on and child-led. Our babies feel safe and secure with consistent routines and close care, our two-year-olds grow in independence as they learn to dress themselves and use the toilet, and our pre-schoolers build the early reading, writing and number skills they'll need for Reception. Along the way, there's always something exciting happening, from den building and fire-pit sessions at Forest School and Beach School trips from Park School to Sports Day at Dean Park, visits from firefighters and friendly animals, and community projects like Bournemouth in Bloom.

Open 51 Weeks
We are here to support busy working families and that's why we are open 51 weeks of the year, from 8am to 6pm. Children attending our Forest School are kept busy and stimulated, with plenty of time to enjoy creating, playing, exploring and learning.
